tell your parents to check these other places out for help understanding switches!

links for kids & teens

  • band-aides & blackboards - this is a neat site that talks to kids and teens about being different and feelings and things.  It also talks to parents about this stuff, too!
  • human genetic disease: a layman's approach - this talks about how a switch can go bad and was written by a real nice biology doc I met once!
  • kidshealth for parents - another cool site that talks about, well, everything...about health, that is!
  • online mendelian inheritance in man - what? oh, well, my dad says that parents can find out what the doctors know about problems with switches here.
  • the genetic alliance - a whole bunch of different people got together to help each other tell the world about switches; so, they're real kewl!
  • national society of genetic counsellors - more medical people who help your parents when they're told about your switches; kinda like a school guidance counsellor, you know?  So, they're kewl, too!
  • our kids - a place your mom & dad can talk to other parents about their feelings (adults have them, too, you know) and to get help for you.  I think that's great, don't you?

< Alert!>My dad & I don't have any control over these places, so remember: when you visit them, you're on your own! </>
